Nice day with three of my brothers. Two had never been catfishing so they did the reeling. Water at Deep Bottom was 33 degrees this morning at 8:00 AM and air temps were 24. When we left the river, the water had warmed to a balmy 37. I caught my bait yesterday and pre fished a few spots. I am so glad I already had my bait!!

We caught 13 fish with 4 beeing over 30. Biggest was 42. Two in the 20's and the rest between 5-10 pounds. Left em biting as one brother was driving back to NY today. Both were happy with twice broken PBs for size of freshwater fish for both in one day! They grew up in NY fishing for salmon and their biggest before today was 22 pounds. Both will be back for shad/stripers/cats in March.

That's not fair. I had to drive the wife to work today and then got the truck stuck. I'm jealous.

Glad you had a good time. Thanks for the pics.

Congrats on the good day and taking some brothers out and putting them on fish they would've otherwise never got to catch.

You could not pick a better time than March if you tried. Hands down my favorite time to catch,,,provided the wind is not blowing a gail. Good luck to all. Thanks for the kind words. Happy New Year!
