I see the weather is going into a cooling trend. Nightime lows dipping into the upper 30's and lower 40's. I hope the water temp goes into a constant cooling trend too. Anyone been doing good in the daytime lately?

I'll let you know. Me and katfish ken are gonna try our luck here in a few hours on the Ohio river. The temps are about the same here also. A whopping 45* here right now. Next couple nights temps are gonna be in the upper 30's and low to mid 40's. Should make for some good fishing!:cool2:

I went out yesterday. Bait was really hard to find and so were the fish. Only caught 3 fish all day and they were just eater size. The worst trip I've had to the James yet. We fished from above the 895 bridge all the way down to just above Hopewell. It was still better than being at work.

I fished from Deep Bottom to below Presquille. One big pull down that came unglued. Sturgeon jumping everywhere. Only fished a few holes. Mainly a boat ride. I fished from 1:00 PM until 5:30 PM. Water was 71 when I got there and 72 when I left.

I fished across from Dutch Gap yesterday from noon til 3:30pm. I had a 7 lb., but nothing else until I pulled up one of my anchors to leave. My new Penn 320 started screamin' and my Tiger Stik was bending like crazy! My back and neck are still hurtin' after the 10 minute fight and lippin' it into the boat. 44" and 47 lbs. My second time catfishing and blessed with a monster! Next time I'll take my partner so he can net it!!

Cameron.. I poked around looking at the bottom with my Sonar. I didn't have time to fish it as I had to haul butt in time to make it to my daughter's vollyball game. I put a sign up that says folks from Danville and Mike specifically have to stay away from the new go to spot:big_smile:

    Thanks for sharing.
