    That is a bigun'! I've caught thousands of them over the years commercial fishing for them in nets. I've seen very few bigger than that one! When we keep one to eat, we slow fry them. We use the snappers for soups and sauces. What are you planning on doin' with him??? Again, nice softshell!!!

    I found one almost that size once with an hung on an old trot line tied to a tree. I shot him in the head with a .22 so I could take him home and clean it, but I must have just grazed him or something. He came alive before long in the front of my pirogue! It felt very crowded in there for the rest of the day with him that close to my feet. Dad cooked it up in a sauce and it was good. Wish I could get me another one like it sometime.
