Anyone have any luck with this bait?
I tried a large jar of it once but I didn't have any luck with it here in Iowa but some guys swear by it. Where you from? Later J.D.
I'm in Illinois
It is a pretty good bait for eating size Channel Cats. I went out this morning and grabbed a dozen nice little cats all on Danny King original punch bait.
I have liked it well enough that I bought a gallon of it. It is about the only prepared bait that I use. What I love about it is that when the gar are eating me alive on fresh shad I switch to this and while I don't catch many Blue Cats with it the Channels will come and find it. Today I was catching most of my fish less than 10 feet from the boat and the longer I fished there the better the bite got. My fishing buddy caught a lot of gar and Gaspergou and one blue while I caught a dozen right next to the boat in 4 feet of water.
It's worked awesome for me for river fish. Hard to go back to stink bait after Danny's
It's all I use these days. However, a couple of my most recent batches are a little running and won't stay on the hook very well. I did take some flour with me last week in case I needed it. It also seems like it needs a little more fiber. Our local Walmart stays sold out of this stuff. I use only the Blood. North Texas Lakes.
I tried it on several Central Wisconsin waters and had no luck with it. Sonny's Original is the only one I've had any luck with.
yes my goto stink bait
Have caught a lot of smaller cats, 1 to 8lb the biggest was 25 lb Blue at times the Blues will hit this
the warmer the water the better the results
I've used it a couple times as had luck every time.
