I went out to the road to the mail box today and my Danny King punch bait had arrived..I knew that, because I could smell it.
The mailman, had placed it in one of the large parcel containers and it must have been upside down, when I opened the door...WOW!!!
I hope none of my neighbors knows who stunk up the mail box so bad.

I also got my Looper rigs today and they look really good, I am very impressed at the ideal and the quality of the Looper rigs.

I am new here, so I will probably be asking a few questions from time to time.
Just by reading the stuff in the library, I have already gained lots of good ideals..thanks guys.

Harry, welcome to the BOC. Glad to add another member to the family.

I have had some luck with DK, used it a few times.

Looper Rigs, I swear by em brother, they will hold the bait better then anything.

Feel free to ask any questions that you have and I am sure someone will be able to answer em for ya.

Those looper rigs are great, they are about the beast for dip baits,i like using it with premos super sticky and hog wild.As far as Danny kings ive never had any luck with it around here i never even had a bite on it but mybe it will work in your neck of the woods.

I fish Lake Shasta and Trinity Lake.
Both of these lakes are very deep and have some very nice Channel Cats.
I fish out of a 22 foot Bennington pontoon boat, the fisherman model.
I am trying some of the stuff the guys in the midwest are using, don't really know if it will work, just gonna give it a try.

These lakes, before the dams, were very deep canyons.
Lake Shasta has 3 major rivers that feed into the lake.
I checked with the fish and game shock team, and they told me
the Pit River has a very good population of Channel Cats.

I have caught some nice cats using chicken livers and pieces of anchovie.
My biggest one is only 8 lbs, but I plan on a 20 pounder real soon...hehehe

I wish I could get some advice as how to fish these lakes.
I have been fishing the flats that are on the sides of the deep river canyon
I think, these flats were made when the river was wild and filled in during big runoffs, there are some nice tree trunks, still on the flats that I tie up to. The flats are about 15 to 20 feet deep, then they drop off into the old river bed, which can be 80 feet deep.
