The last couple weeks on the Dan have been been great. Took my boy out a few days and evenings and he caught a nice one on his bream pole with 10 lbs line and worm. We have been getting alot of flatties hitting worm off a current, but the bigger ones still go for the live bream. Went out this morning as well and missed 3 flatties cause I was paying to much attention to my bream pole, trying to catch some descent size bait. I may go out again this afternoon with the boy. TAKE A KID FISHING, and good luck on the Dan.

    Looks like some productive fishing.
Good to see people catching fish.

Me and my son always have a good time out and we practice CPR on all fish caught.

I let my fish go too, you will find alot of good info on the forum. Maybe one day I'll make it to fish the Dan River.

I read an article in an old Field and Stream magazine one time. It said if you dont get your children into the outdoors before age 13, they are 60% more likely not to partake in any outdoor activities. I dont know about you but when I was a kid it was all about the outdoors. "THE WORLD IS MY PLAYGROUND."
