Dan river catching

    Keepitsimple and myself went cat hunting yesterday and ended up with 1 flathead about 18 lbs,4 blues in the 20s,and 1 blue 34lbs.All in all it was an excellent day on the water.Bait of choice was bream and white perch all fished carolina rigged in the middle of the river above southboston.

    Kenneth, I don't know how big your boat is but as long as you know your way and this time of year there are many very large boats that make the trip, although this can change very quickly according to the amount of rain we get.

    I have a 20 foot lund and I need two feet of water. Boat does weigh with me and a tank of gas close to a ton so if I run aground, I am screwed,:sad2:

    Your boat will make it a few miles with no problem right now with the water high, @ a lake elevation of 300 or better your good, right now it's 302. Middle of the week is best.

    They run much bigger boats there than that.A 20ft v-cat runs there with no problem.
