DAMN RAIN!

    Anybody live near or been down to the BIG O near Louisville today? How's it look? Hopefully fishable for this weekend.

    I was over at the falls fishing for skippys this morning untill we got rained out..:angry:

    Big O? Where you talking about? The river is fishable if you got the right spot. I seen boats out on it and quite a few bank fishermen out the last 2 days..Hope you catch some fish wherever you go.:wink:

    skippy's? are these bait fish? are they making their run or sumthing? what r skipps and what r they good for?

    They are Skip Jacks(silver baitfish_0-3-4lb in size) hits small jigs in several colors , pink, green, white, black, yellow, mix them up 3-4 to a line and your in business.

    When you can find them,,,Great bait for blues,,haven't caught ant flats on them, channels a hit chunks of them as well.

    wednesday we went to cherokee and we was getting ready to fish and it poured down the rain thunder and even had ground lighting. they was calling for tornadoes and all kinds of stuff:sad2:

    been catching a few skips here and there lately. gonna try for some later hopefully they are biting ... like to get the wife in on some.

    ive been fishin down on the bank here on the indiana side almost everyday this week and have been catching some BIG channel cats and caught a couple flatheads in the 4 lb. range. even with all the rain. :big_smile:

    The rain is good the lakes are drying up down here.
