    Hello BOC,

There is a 12 foot high dam near me. What kind of rig would you use to hold your bait in place? I will probably try fishing the bottom with a three way and also throw live bait with a float. Anybody fishing tailraces have any suggestion/ recommendations? Thanks!!

I fish tailraces alot here in my area. I really like useing a floating rig with the bait just bounceing on the bottom letting the current push it down stream into the slack water letting it sit for a bit. I also use slip rigs alot right where the current meets slack water.

I agree with James. If there isn't too much current just rig a slip sinker and cast right into it. If not a float will work. Usually the slack water right next to the current is where they will hang out.
