Anyone know of any good fishin spots in or near Dale City, VA? The family and I will be out there in July to visit the in-laws. Thought I'd plan my escape....I mean plan some fishin during the time we're out there.

Leesylvania Park is very close on the Potomac , it has a good ramp and excellent fishing nearby.

Leesylvania is good but not if you dont have a boat. The marina wall at quantico is a good shore fishing spot you have to buy a marine base fishing license but you wont need virginia.

I would also try the Occoquan river and reservoir. You can rent a boat and motor at Fountainhead park. The State record Flathead(66 pound) came out of the reservoir. Bull Run is not a bad place. Lake Brittle is not too far either.

Here is a link to Fountainhead.
