Has anybody ever tried these reels for catfishing? I did a search on here and never saw any input on them and thought I would. Never caught anything in fresh water with mine over 12-14 pounds, but have caught several Redfish, Kingfish and Barracudas anywhere from 12-35 pounds. The only real draw back I see with these reels is no levelwind. I havent used levelwind in years and have converted most of my Abu's so thats not a problem for me. I do love the drag on this reel, gotta be one of the smoothest for its price range I have ever used. If you mag it its a casters dream too.

I imagine as long its a 30 or bigger you can catch some bigguns no
    problem.

The one I have experience with was a 40 I used for surfcasting. It held a bunch of 20lb mono.
