Daiwa Rods?

    I have the Daiwa Sweepfire Med Action Rod that I use for Bassin I am wondering would the Sweepfire MH rods for catfishing? its a Resilient, composite blank Rod, aint sure what that mean, maybe its a mix of gaphite and e-glass. if so its a good rod for catfishing

    While this is a good rod for bass fishing, I don't think it would hold up to cat fishing. You need a rod that has more backbone. Catching small channels on that rod (m/h) might work but it will not hole the one you have been dreaming about. There are a lot of good catfish rods on the market. Take a look at some and good luck on your decision.:big_smile:

    Well I am planning on getting another Daiwa Sweepfire Rod for Bass fishing, I am going to check out the Ugly Sticks for catfishing I got a few other brands of rods I need to check out. I need another cat rig bad to replace my Tidewater Freeliner Spinning Reel. Its going to be another casting reel :lol:
