I finally got around to making Judy a cutting board. It is made out of oak, cherry, birch, ash and black walnut. It is finished out with oil. It was fun to build but I don't like to make two of the same thing. Got it done just in time for Christmas.

The last project we built was for our bedroom because we just didn't have much storage. It took us quite a while to build but it is finally finished. The picture below is before we put the finish and pulls on it. If I had to build for a living again, I would starve because it takes me so long to do anything now days.

Looks great as always Jim. The cut board is something I would like to make sometime.

Out of curiosity I noticed the right side is different, smaller, more compact and was wondering if that's your side, LOL, .....if you get any of it at all ; )

Thanks for the pic's I always enjoy them.

Thanks a bunch fellows, I really do appreciate all of you. Maw has a lot of quilts and things like that and we didn't have any place to put them. The bedroom was looking bad with all the boxes stacked up.LOL Man we even got a place to put our drawers now.LOL

Bill we built it out of poplar because we finished it with tea stain to make it look older and poplar is about the cheapest material we can get here except for pine and I really didn't want the pine look. We even took our old dresser apart and reworked it and made a computer desk out of it.LOL

You guys are right. Jim is a pro at wood, He is in no doubt a master wood worker. I have seen first hand some of his work and he is a pro at it. Jim that cutting board is looking good man. I ain't gonna let Donna see it. She has looked at your wall unit and now I will have to build one. I'll be over that way here before long with that barn lumber and I am sure there is some red oak in it. Jim some of those boards ar 16 inches wide.

Wow, thanks fellows, I really do appreciate ya'lls kindness. It just blows me away.

Willard, I can't wait to run some of that wood through the planer to see what it looks like, I bet it is going to be beautiful.
