Cut Bluegill?

    What is the best way to cut bluegill when fishing suspended under slip float at about 10-15 feet? I've been sucessful with my way just wondered how other people cut thier's. Thanks in advance.

    If the cats aren't biting on live gills then i cut em and use the heads. This sometimes gets em in a biting mood.

    Trey: some use just the head, some the gut section, some just a fillet, some a head with a fillet attached. Sometimes you gotta expiriment to see what they prefer.

    I always catch the little ones and keep them on there until something bites. But then again I normally fish with two poles and two differant baits to see what is working that day.

    Cut in to three sections. Also try using just the guts, and butterflying them is good to.

    I lop off the head tail & top fin then split um down the middle, then put the two sides scales to scales and hook them once through the ribs
