How long do you guys leave cutbait out before you change to a fresh bait? I leave cut bluegills out 3+ hours. Is that too long?

Heck no I don't leave it out that long..Now what I do is cut my bait all up and put in a ziplock bag..Of course guts and blood get all mixed up in my bait chunks in the bag.I'll leave my bait out 30 minutes tops..If the bait still looks good I'll toss it back in the bait bag and let it soak up some more blood and guts then I'll try a fresh piece..

Depends on how much fresh bait I have. If I have plenty, I will change every half hour or so. I like to keep fresh and bloody bait on as much as possible.

Team Catfish has a Dead Red Blood Spray out that can be used to enhance your bait. This works well and helps prolong the use of the same bait.
