I know this is a catfish web page but I like to fish for bass also. I was introduced to Cushing lake last year. One of my favorite places to go bassin'. A buddy of mine and I alway catch at least a couple of bass 6lb or bigger. One day he caught a 11lb 2 oz. and I caught a 7lb. 2oz.

Tony, it's about 6 miles west of Cushing on Highway 33. Actually, its at the junction, you may say, of highway 18 (or is it 25) and 33...give or take a hundred yards to the east. Nice area....picnic tables, porta-potties, shade, two boat ramps and a dock. Somewhat shallow in the southern end and about12 to 14 feet throughout until you get up around the dam, and I believe I have seen some 17 and 21/22 pockets. An old timer told me of a 68 lb flathead caught there years ago. Cushing lake is supposedly a hidden bass fishermans' jewel.
