crossbreed cats?

    has anyone ever heard of a flat head mixing with a channel cat? i caught something that resembled a hammer head shark out of the ohio river last night. ive got pictures but there on a friends digital cam for now.ill try and get them posted. but anyway i was wondering if i caught some type of hybrid or just a river mutationor if its some type of rare cat i dont know of. any info?????

    i have seen fish like that once he looked like a flatie except for the mouth he had a overbite not under bite and his eyes where on the side not the top and his tail looked like a shallow v not like a channel but not like a flatie

    When male channels spawn their heads get swollen and they turn dark blue in color.I would have to see the picture to get a better idea.

    According to Trautman's book of Ohio Fishes ... he states that both Blue and Flatheads will cross with channel cats .... I have personally never seen one .... but Trautman was the Number one authority .... Garry-
