Has anybody ever fished for Croakers in the rivers around Charleston? I heard the other day that you could catch lots of them there. If this is true, what time of year?

Mark, I don't specifically target the croakers, but I usually catch the largest ones in the fall; October and early November, when I'm fishing for whiting. Can't recommend any particular place, though, since I move around a lot, but the areas around Bull's Bay are pretty good. I hear a lot are caught in Charleston Harbor, as well as Spots; near the mouth of Shem Creek, below the Yorktown. Don't hold me to that, because I haven't tried it myself.
