Something else new that I have experienced since I've moved up here to Tennessee are the cave crickets.I spotted one a few minutes ago and always see them around the house and a light went off in my head..Do they make good fish bait?Never thought to ask,but one of my favorite baits for large blue gills and the occasional channel cat is live crickets. So has anyone ever tried these cave crickets for fishing bait??

I've never had any luck with those kind of crickets. We call them basement crickets, they are sort of striped and like to hang out in low damp spots. There is another called the mole cricket, a wicked looking little cuss, now they make excellent bait. They burrow underground and are difficult to find.
