took the wife out this morning to broadway lake for some bream fishing...we were using crickets under corks for bait and throwing them under and around docks mostly...we caught a pile of bream and to my surprise we also caught 6 small channels in very shallow water around some of these docks...now at least i know they are in there for sure so one of these days i'm gonna have to go after them.

Craig, years ago on Lake Marion, we caught coolers full of 15# and under blues and channels drifting, with an occasional super-size bluegill on the side. I saw some young guys up at Harry's last summer that were tearing up the channels on grasshoppers....

I caught several channels while bluegill fishing with crickets and once in a while I'd catch them on small crappie jigs. They're a lot of fun on ultra-lite gear.
