They are a great live bait for flatheads or use them as cut bait for blues and channels.

NOOOOOOO!:smile2: Do not throw them out. They make excellent bait. On the Republican, cut the head and tail off and the cats will hammer them.

I've caught some awesome catfish with creek chubs. Problem is I can't find a spot to catch them consistently.

I guess we are lucky here in NE Okla. All the creeks around here have chubs in them. The hardest thing for me to find now is bullheads. My last spot got bulldozed in.

chub's are my favorite bait, cut or alive. In rivers I catch bass, channel and flat head with them.

Wish we were closer together. Chubs don't travel well unless you are set up for them.

It is ironic how the little Flatheads on the Kaw crave fresh cut chubs. Channels like them also in every body of water.

Well it is too late tonight to go chase them channels. I will freeze them and just cut them up tomorrow night for some bait. Thanks for the input guys.

I must be lucky, I have a spot that I get hundreds at a time if needed. They are great bait for blues, channels and flats. If I remember I'll and bring some to the gathering in June and give some to who ever would like some.

    Later,
    Chris

Creek chubs are an all around good bait that do better than the fathead
minnows most baitshops sell by the gross. If you got em, you can be
confident that something will step up to bite it live or dead. It's what's
for dinner in most bodies of water. Trouble seems to be finding them.

haha shelby, yeah. I'm not too concerned with people on here taking all of them. you also have to know the right spots to go in order to get them. its a slow process usually catching 1 every other cast or so.
