First, I would like to say hi to everyone, and let everyone know that I enjoy reading your posts. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to catch some chubbs.(what bait, size of hooks, ect.) Thanks in advanced for any replies.CJ

:0a25:First let me say welcome aboard. My husband usually uses his umbrella net from the top of a small bridge. He uses a piece of bread for bait.:0a26:

If your lucky you can find them at K Mart. Check them out at Cabelas or Bass Pro shops also. They cost about $14.00 and they work really well. You can also use them at boat docks too.

Are they the same as a cast net? They kind of resemble an umbrella.

Clifton, we have been catching them in a small creek that feeds the (MillCreek) . I use a casting net in the shallower water where the current is very slow . You can see them swimming in schools of 20 to 50. They are anywher from 3 to 9 inches long . Cut them in 2 pieces or use them whole with a 6 to 10/o hook. I have done real with them this year at TUTTLE CREEK between the tubes and ROCKY FORD fishing area. Hope this helps!:0a26::0a23:

Jim, they are the ones you drop in the water and when the bait swims over it you pull staight up out of the water .

Caleb...... Ya its 11:19 and I'm just now getting the message. I was out all night trying to catch some shad. Perry is nothing like Milford, I bet I threw 100 time and only caught 20 or so 3" long. I said screw it and went and bought some goldfish.
