Can anyone help me out on catching bait. Does anyone know where i can find creek chubs or shiners and know how i can catch them easily? I have heard they are in creeks and i have a lot of those around my house. I know they work well for catfish bait and have been wanting to use them. Thanks

underneath bridges is a good place to catch chubs, anywhere where the water is deeper. The best places to catch them is where the water is shady. I use a small rod and reel to catch them, corn or beemoth for bait, they are actually alot of fun!! They do die easy though.

I catch creek chubs 3 0r 4 days weekly and I like to just take an ultralite rod and reel a, small piece of night crawler w/ small split shot. Try your best to stay down and hid those little suckers see you and sometimes they won't hit again for an hour or so. This, method is not the only way but you can fish those deeper holes without seining and getting wet. But they both are great ways o catch chubs.

If you can find a dam, go to the bottom of it. If it is shallow then you will have a field day with a throw net. We usually get thirty or fourty fish a throw. Good Luck Fishin!!
