Reel looks to be tuned to perfection. Really smooth.

That 5000 does'nt have a Magnetic drag Knob like that,( which is way to big for the reel in the first place), which protrudes out past the side plate like a tightening screw, they ( Magnetic drag Knobs ) are pretty much flush with the side on all reels.

If you watch the film it keeps going over in the same start and stop motion over and over in the center of the reel..IMHO I think this is fake ,,People can do alot of stuff with the right program.

Its a whole different set-up on this one,No level-wind and the mag setting isn't present as in the first reel,It looked as if that knob was at the rear of the plate.

this one looks like he just modified a brake cap/side plate with different bearings for sure, thats how they get all the distance..They are impressive:cool2:

I was looking into hot rodding a Record RNC60HC . The abec 7 bearings/ Dual Bearing Worm Kit , BALL BEARING IDLER GEAR KIT , CERAMIC Pawl Repl. cost around 83.00 for all, but it would be a smooth casting machine.

    lol!

This kind of stuff ain't for guys like us.

It's interesting, though, because that's how all of the cool stuff we take for granted gets developed. It's like auto racing.
