I got to fish Kscatmans(Eric) pattern last weekend, so credit is all his(we put about 150 fish in the boat).

Fish were on standing timber in 10-14' of water basically suspend above the thermocline tight to cover with shad moving through. Bite was light on sensitive rods and skinny powerpro, jigs held still in morning and swung by mid-morning. Put it all together and you get cover, bait and the thermocline. Eric is also an artist with small jigs, he makes them eat even if they're full.

Good luck in your search, but crappie can and do hit well in the heat!!
