Had a good day on the water with my old fishing bud.

We went after crappie and brought 28 home for dinner.

Its was a great day to be out weather wise with no winds.
Saw deer and busted about 30 Turkeys out of their roost trees at day break.

Water was 50 degree's needs to get down to around 40 for these guys to really turn it on.Wont be long..

Kyle this place might look familiar to you:wink::wink:

Looks like a fun time on the water Tom Congrats. Have you tried that section for cat? The turkeys must be thick in there because we were getting talked to all last sunday when we were there. Even had a few venture down to the waters edge not far from us.

Nice mess of crappie. Been a while since I helped bring in any like that. Go to Kentucky Lake every year for them, but they've been pretty sparce for the last 3 or 4 years. They don't get much better eatin' than that.

I talked to one of the Lenexa city biologist a couple of months ago, he said the crappie really haven't taken a hold out there yet, he said give it another two years and they should be pretty thick.

The lake, she was a little rough today:crazy:. Think Tom may have bruised some personal belongings on the way back to the boatramp..........rollers at 40mph, bundles of fun!!

If ya listen real close you might be able to smell the crappie a cook'n:wink:.
