Crappie - Kentucky record

    i was poking around on the net a cam across a picture of a crappie that was caught last year.i think it says it's the kentucky record.

    I have seen that pic and that is huge!!!! I think she caught it out of a pond. It was going to be classified to some kind of world record, but the silly thing that was stated is that it is a hybrid of a black and white crappie. I wouldnt mind to hook into one of that size.

    I remember that pic, one huge crappie. If I remember right it was caught out of a pond on Mothers Day. Also seem to remember she caught it with a rod and reel she recieved same day as a gift.

    well i lost the page where i first found the picture it told the whole story but what i did find was it weighed 4 pounds and 4 ounces and was caught at water shed lake in christan county.

    The crappie weighed 4 lbs. 14 ozs. It would have been more but the fish lost some weight after it died.

    Good lord that is a gigantic crappie. I know the guy that holds the Nebraska Black Crappie record of 4lbs 8 oz. and that thing was a beast. I can't imagine catching a Crappie that big.

    you know alot of the state records don't look real i think it just the fact we are use to seeing a whole lot smaller ones:)
