Crappie Jig Tips

    [B This tip is for those that wants to make jigs and don't want to put the money out for molds. Take a split shot (the size you prefer), take a jig hook(Eagle Claw #575) and some darning thread (Colors of choice). Take the split shot and place the hook bend inside then place the colored thread on top of hook. Press the split shot closed and your done. Cost is minimal.

    thanks mickey, thats some great info that can be used to get a man out of a pinch also. i use alot of small tube baits and grubs. seems to me like you could do the same thing if you ran out of jigheads and it could save you from an early departure...

    i will try that fior trout...but for crappie i use a little strike king spinner...not a in line spinner ait but a full size one...
