My recommendation would be to eat the crab meat, chase it with a beer or two, then use fresh cut bait from the water you fish.
Crab Meat
Anybody ever tried processed crab meat for bait? It comes in chunks, I've had some that was plenty tough to stay on the hook and it smells fishy.
