cow manure bait...you guys are going to think i am crazy but it works and works consistently in lakes or slow moving waters .. when my fishing buddy showed me this i thought he had lost his mind..works great for carp as well..
take a 1 gallon plastic container, using rubber gloves place about two hand fulls of wet/fresh cow manure in the container, then mix in instant grits until it forms a watery paste, then i add two table spoons for garlic salt and about 3 to 4 table spoons of the blood based paste ava. at any sporting goods..then i add 1/2 bottle of kayro syrup..then continue to add more grits until it is a semi dry paste..you should be able to pack it into a hard ball around your hook..i always place a sugar pop ceral or piece of sponge on the hook for a pick up..throw this chum into the same area over and over..as the bait hits the water it will hold together long enough to hit the bottom..then the fun begins..keep the dough sealed and it will last for hours..keep adding syrup as it becomes less packable on the hook..good luck, it works
