Cotton for punch bait?

    can you use cotton to make punch bait?What about using it in store bought dip bait or dough bait to make it a punch bait,anyone ever try this before?

    alot of times i'll take a cotton ball and soak it in batemate or something like that and sometimes i have good luck.

    when i make bait i ussually take a frew cotton balls and tear them up and add them so the bait will stick to a treble hook better

    The lint left over from the clothes dryer works well, plus it's free. Some of the brothers use the fluff from cattails. Good luck Fastfrank

    Cattail fuzz is the best by far. My Dad takes Premo SS Blood, a tub of ground up chicken livers and cattail fuzz to make his "punchbait". It works pretty well over soured grain, of course, most anything will work well of soured grain:).
