Just bought an Abu off ebay, the guy is sending it with Cortland Spectron 50 pound braid, said he was a muskie fisherman so im assuming this is pretty tough stuff....anyone know anything about it?? Never seen it nor heard of it, kinda thinking its a northern kinda brand?

They do appear to cater more to the walleye and muskie guys, but they do have a catfish line on their website. Here is their info about Spectron...

    Spectron® Super Braid

Water-repellent, super-low-stretch, low diameter-to-strength ration super braid is an overwhelming favorite among anglers that need a line that is strong and tough! There IS a difference in Super Braids – this one is the best!

Hopefully it tests out for you. I'm hoping my 50 lb PowerPro will do the same for me this weekend..

    Good luck!
