Coming out around St. Louis

    I live around st louis and fish the mississippi river. Not all that long before spring. When do you think they will come out of the deep and be back to the spring time bite?

    Patrick, exactly what type of fish are you referring to. Blues can be caught now. Channels, generally can be caught sooner that flatheads. Flatheads usually when the water temp reaches 54 or so degrees.

    Patrick those are my home waters and trust me you can catch the blues now, like you said they are pretty schooled up in holes right now but Id say last year mid to the end of March I was catching them all over really well. Im headin out this weekend for the first time this year and cant wait! Other than that Id say head out whenever you can and catch em!
