Colorado River

    Any one have any idea if the yella's and channels are biting around the Bend area of the river. We are plannin on goin over the Memorial Day weekend.

    they should be biting just fine. i used to fish a ranch down there off of 190 between san saba and lometa. the flatties started hitting in early march. i don't think i was very far from the area you are talking about.
    oh and the channels were pretty active all year. got em on cutbait and the flatties on live bream and bullheads.

    IF YOUR GONING TO THE BEND GO UP STREAM THERE WILL BE A HUGE CRACK IN THE RIVER ABOUT THE MIDDLE I ALWAYS PULL 30'S TO 60'S OUT OF THERE THERE IS ALSO A UNDERWATER CAVE JUST ABOVE IT MY UNCLE CLAIMS HE PULLED A 87 OUT OF THAT CRACK BUT I DIDN'T SEE IT BUT HE ALWAYS CATCHES THE BIG ONES LOL
