    1. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
    2. Texas Longhorns
    3. Ohio St. Buckeyes
    4. West Virginia Mountaineers
    5. Oklahoma Sooners
    6. LSU Tigers
    7. USC Trojans
    8. Flordia St.Seminoles
    9. Florida Gators
    10. Clemson Tigers

Ohio St. and Texas could be flipped. The only reason one of those two isnt #1 is they have to many question marks on offense(Texas, rookie QB) and defense(Ohio St.,lost to many starters). Feel free to weigh in!

They probably have one of the top QB's comeing back in the league and one heck of an Offensive Coach.

This is my version of the top 10,the Irish are #1 only because they have less question marks in the key areas. Except cornerback,Ohio St. lit them up in the Fiesta Bowl!!

Gotta move the Longhorns way down, to about a #11 or 12. Vince Young bailed Mack Brown out for a few years. Adios Vinny!!!! I see the Sooners as a definite top 3 ranking. As long as Mack Brown's at the healm of the Longhorn ship, the Sooners will always have the advantage in the rivalry. Whatcha think, Matt? Agreed?

I believe Oklahoma has the Big 12 South this year. A fully healthy Adrian Peterson, probably one of their best defenses in awhile, and if Brett Rhomar can put down the bottle I think they have Texas' number this year.

I like Texas over Ohio State though. Ohio State lost too many on defense, and I think Jamaal Charles is going to rip them up. Texas still has a great defense, which I believe can keep Troy Smith contained. I do see the Irish making a run for it this year though.

Funny I haven't seen anyone from the SEC posting on here. Usually they're the first to say they have the greatest conference in all of college football.

The only thing that hurts OU is an inexperienced O line, Adriann Peterson is a stud though. Texas Tech could play a factor in the Big 12 South.

If OU has one big weakness it's their O line, but I don't know about Texas Tech. It's their first time in awhile they haven't had a fifth year senior QB.
Now Baylor on the other hand :tounge_out:

I would definetley say that the number 2 and 5 ranking is interesting. We will find out in October which is rated wrong as of today. Could go either way.

I think everyone is overlooking the Vols. They may not be a preseason top 10, but I believe you will see the return of the big orange when Cal comes to town on opening day. A true test, but what a building block to strat on!

    GO BIG ORANGE!!!!

Funny as to how there are these rivalry games. OU - Alabama, OU - Nebraska, OU - Oregon. These are the ones I am familiar with. All of OU's opponents are quality teams for which OU and it's fans have a lot of respect. OU - Texas is another of our rivalries, but there is actual hate displayed on both sides of the ball for the other team. Shouldn't be that way, but it is. Guess Arkansaw - Texas, Alabama - Clemson, are games built around hate also. I personally prefer the games built on respect, but then, I like the OU - Texas game also - and I have no bad feelings towards Texans. Just would rather see them lose 1 game a year. They can win the rest and I will root for them.
