Hey guys,I need some advise on fixing up a Coleman Crawdad,I bought to fish on a electric motor, only lake. It's in great shape.I was thinking about 1/4" diamond plate for flooring,it would be lite weight, and last awhile.
Anybody else fixed one up for catfishing.

I bought a coleman crawdad back in 1990 and used it all the time for float trips. I gave it to a couple friends a few years ago and they still use it .

I had some 1/4 inch plywood on the bottom that worked out well.

Whatever you decide to use for flooring I would make it removable so you can clean under the tubing that runs along the floor.

You don't want a small stone or something to get under there and keep rubbing.

    Good luck...Those boats last forever.

The only mods I did to mine were adding some comfy swivel seats, stout rod-holders, and a front trolling motor mount. My factory floor is still in good shape though.
PM me if you wanna see pics.

The rodholders are mounted with 2 u-bolts apiece. The seat bases are also mounted with u-bolts. That way everything can be returned to factory if you wanted.
