Ok guys, I'm from Indiana and want to do some blue fishing in my local lake, it's a small reservoir called Morse lake in central Indiana fairly shallow, but occasionally drops to 45 feet but averages probably around 15 foot. The surface temp is around 39 to 40 degrees.

I am adept at drift fishing for blues in spring and summer and fall just never went after them in the winter. I will be in a boat with sonar so any help/advise as to how to find em and best tactic to fish em would be greatly appreciated, and I'm sure a few of you will be able to help. Thanks alot guys.

does it have shad? if so try and follow them around fishing in and below them for the cats.

Other thing is get out there and get some water on those lines... you'll learn more on the water then you will sitting at home keeping your lines dry.
