I have never been this impatient to get this fishing year started. It kills me to see the Mississippi river completely frozen. I know we have had a warm spell for about 3 days and it thawed alot off the streets, but didnt make any difference out on the river. The first of March is when I usually start fishing. Ive dodged ice chunks before but im gonna be a little more careful this year! And safe boating to everyone. Lets go catch a Monster!

I'm ready for spring also. Can't wait to get after the monsters. This is my first year ever trying to fish in the winter and I have to say without a boat it is not worth it. I only bank fish so I'll be waiting until spring.

I agree, it's time for the ice to go away and fishing to begin. Old bodies don't do well in the cold so I am waiting, IMPATIENTLY.

Can't wait either. Xmas should come in the summertime so I don't have to stare at my 3 new poles that I can't use yet. :-(
