clouds and skip jack

    I always find it to be that the skipjack run deeper in the water on cloudy days and i dont catch as many numbers as the sunny day. On the sunny days it is on like donkey kong in my neck of the woods for skippies.

    Casey, I agree with what your saying about the skips being deeper on cloudy days. I have seen this happen, and what I do then is put about a 1oz bell sinker on the bottom of my line to get my lures down to the skips!:wink:When its sunny I dont need any extra wieght and let my lures sit right under the surface on the retrieve.
