I plan to pull my pontoon boat and winterize it this year, but I could use some help on cleaning the pontoons. The marina used some sort of acid solution when I had them do it, but not sure what they used. Any help?

West Marine has several specific cleaners for aluminium poontoons.Go to their website.Take it to your local high pressure car wash and clean all the fish slime, scales etc etc out of the carpet if you have it or just do the deck

I had a local boat dealer order me a case of Toon-Brite when I had my pontoon. It comes in half gallon jugs with a sprayer attached. The jugs are about 3/4 full and you fill them the rest of the way with water.

Use a plastic windshield ice scraper to get the thick stuff off and then spray on the Toon-Brite and let it sit a little while but don't let it dry. Then just spray off with a hose and you have super clean toons.

It costs about $12.00 per jug. One jug will do a 20-24' boat.

Do a search on google for TOON-BRITE for more info.
