What do you all do to amend your heavy clay soil ? I was thinking of adding a new flower bed. would adding play sand help with drainage?

Clay is a haevy soil. Use some top soil and peat moss or some barn yard will loosen the soil some. I thank a sandy top soil would be the best.both would lighten the soil.

Pelletized gypsum will help to loosen clay as well as some organic materials like compost, manure, grass clippings, etc.
