So am new to the whole circle hook thing. and i have had some pretty good luck with them. But what is the difference between the circle and the octopus hook? And what do you all think is better?

I use both the Circle & Octopus, I'm no expert but I will try.

If you look at the circle hook the point is bent back towards the shank. With some circles the eye maybe straight or bent out. Circle hook will set it self.

Octupos......The point isn't pointed back towards the shank. Put to of them side by side and you will see. With Oct you have to set the hook.

This isn't much but I'm sure someone will give a better answer.

Edit: Try post this question in the Terminal Tackle board!!

What size of Circle Hooks would work best for 3-6lb. fish?
And do they need to be sharpened?
