christmas eve

    Hello, I'm Bear and I'm a smoke-o-holic.
    Ten pm christmas eve and ive got the
    BBQ going. Church ran late but i didnt care, LOL. I was hungry for some Q
    so santa could either wait or join us.

    foil is some venison sausage
    chicken thighs rubbed with mix of:
    2 cups brown sugar
    1/2 cup Garam Masala
    1 T powdered habeneros
    1 T powdered garlic
    1 T kosher salt
    1 T ground cardamom

    thats the base rub- we keep this on hand all the time. great on every meat we have tried it on. diff batches may have a tad of this or tad of that added.

    thanks, may take a set of pix when we fry the turkey today. gotta break in that new turkey fryer we got for christmas. i'd rather smoke it on the pit but the Mrs. wants me to fry it this time. ive got the bird in a brine right now- ice water with salt, sugar, garlic, garam masala, and a little Tony C's. ill inject it before i cook it with a mix of white wine and most likely more Tony C's.
