Chickamauga Blues

This is about the good king of blues. Fat blue catfish. What a fishery. Chickamauga Lake is nothing short of awesome. We had another great day catching blues again. Chicken liver,shrimp and garlic hotdogs were the menu for the day. I haven't counted them yet but we' ve got a 100 qt cooler full. The biggest weighs 8-1/2 lbs. Most are around 3 to 5 lb avrerage. Caught them in the hot sun from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm in 45 to 70 feet of water in the river channel.You folks that fish rivers, is this normal? I have never caught cats in August in the middle of the day. 'Till now anyway.

What a bunch of Blues, great job!!!! You want to give me a lesson? Next time you plan to fish the Chick let me know and I'll try to meet you and I'll put in at the same launch. I live a few miles North and it would be an easy drive.

I'm glad to hear you had a great day, but then again aren't most days a little better when you have been fishing?

It would fun to get Jim, his better half Judy and Tippy together for a mini trip.

Just think of the things I could learn!
