There isn't much I would eat from the Bay besides white perch and even then only out of certain areas. Below is a link to the chart straight from Maryland Department of the Environment.

We've eaten some smaller blues and channels. No issues with taste, or digestion.

I was stationed at Bainbridge Md in the early 70s we caught several off the back of the Conawingo dam they had a concrete walkway we fished from

I was stationed at Indianhead, MD in 73. There have been some good catfish in the Potomac for a long time. And it is not far to the James. Good fishing all around.

Unfortunately that catwalk on Conowingo Dam was closed after 9-11 and never reopened. I used to like fishing out there. When Bainbridge USNTC closed, the town of Port Deposit took over the waterfront portion and made it a town park with a nice pier to fish from. This pic is from the pier back in April. I like to fish there when the water is too cold to be out in my kayak.

Yea they were starting to close it down I got to hang around about 6 months after my school. They needed a truck driver to haul every thing to a dump on base
I be through before noon most days fished most afternoons
