Any good cheese bait recipes out there for eating sized channel cats?
I used a commercial cheese dough bait years ago. Sure missed it when they quit making it. On the other hand,I have lost all my confidence in any dip or dough baits in the last few years,Fresh bluegill, chicken liver or a host of other things work as well, and smell much better.:smile2:
Yes the do smell alot better LOL
Shad i use old cheese by the 100lb barrel for catfish bait. Works great !
The only time I've had really good luck with cheese baits is in the hottest part of summer.Channels will also hit Ivory soap once the water gets hot. That's just my experiences ,because I sure aint no pro....
1/2 lb of slimey hamburger and 4oz of limburger cheese always worked good for us. I'll look around and see if I can find any others in our logs.
Shad I take a gal. of rotten cheese, 1 tub of hogwild dip bait, 1/8 tube red grease use floor or corn starch to thicken as a dip bait using a surgical tube for a dip worm. For punch bait just add cat tail fuzz. I filled two 16ft. frezers with eaters last year. Had a good church fish fry. just a thought
Where do you get your cheese at ? Do you get it local ?
Where can you buy bulk cheese By the 100 Lbs. or 380 Lb. drum? I'm in southern Okla. I need to get around the $200 shipping...Stinke
What do you mean by 1/8 tube red grease? What kind of grease is that?
