WOW Branden. GREAT FISH my friend. Fricken Awesome. The fact you released that fish without even knowing its weight is one of the best stand up gestures for catfish conservation I've seen here on BOC right there next to RADISH.

Thanks for setting a great example. Theres not enough reps for ya my friend. Great catch, and thanks for the story and the photos. I'm sure little Joey and Eric will never forget that Catch, and sadly, Little Eric will have to step up to the plate again to top that one. :smile2:

I printed the pic's off and showed my neighbor. Tim couldn't catch a fish in a horse trough, and after he was able to speak, ask you couldn't eat something like that could ya? I explained the CPR concept to him and told him of all the big fish caught and released the past 3 weeks and the man was appalled to say the least.

The best I can come up with after looking at the pix and taking some measurements is that it was 20" thick (from humpback to belly) at it's biggest point based on measurements from the neckline of my shirt to the big hole in my shirt.

Length guesstimate is around 53" based on the picture of me and Joe on the front deck and the width of the deck.
