That is a striped Rapheal Cat, I had one in an aquarium for 10 years, has since been transfered to another tank, bought him when he was about 1 1/2 inches long and 1 inch wide now he is about 8-9 inches long and abut 5 inches wide. Nasty little critters, they have a row of hooked barbs down their sides and on their pectoral fins and when you try to get them out of the net to clean the tank, they will curl and grab your finger with their side spines and barbs also their dorsal and pectoral spines are really long compared to their size.

  5. If I remember right I have never seen that thing move during the day either, or out from its little hole. A very nocturnal animal I would have to say.

I never saw that thing move. Then again, I wasn't home for nearly four years until 2005.
