Is anyone familiar with charles mill lake near mifflin? I remember my dad used to take me out there as a little kid and we'd catch lots of cats out there so I was thinking about going back sometime this week but I don't know where the good spots are out there. Can anyone help?

hey man ide love to help ya out...ive had some decent luck out at charles mill on channel cats in the past...generally between one and 14lbs for me personally but most i catch or two or three lbs so not real monsters but im still looking hard for a flathead to catch outta that lake and hope to this year at some point. If ya ever wanna go out with me ide be more than willing to show you what few bank spots there are....really to fish this lake effectivelly i think ya almost NEED a boat. But heck ill give it a shot with ya lol...unfortunately im leaving for a three week long trip but when i get back would be more than happy to hang with ya and wet a line. If ya want shoot me a txt or pm me...are you from the area? cm is about 40minuntes from me...(419)651-6144 thanks and good luck if ya go out there this week. I would recommend trying either under the rt430 bridge and fish the channel at that bottleneck OR try clear beyond the campgrounds off the penninsula...if you look at a mwcd lake map youll know where im talking but i believe its like 3 bucks to fish out there if you arent camping....430 bridge is free though lol...i wish ya luck if ya go out this week and please let us know how it went!

only other spot that i know of that is decent to shore fish from is right where 603 turns off from rt 30 , there is a parking area there and ive had some good luck on channels there also, only other place is at the spillway but unless the rain quits it is not fishable right now, good luck to ya and pm me if you need and directions, i dont live too far from there
