I have a battery charger in my garage that I'm using for my new trolling battery. It has an option for deep cycle batteries and I use that, but it also gives me a choice of 2, 12, or 24 amps. I know the nice chargers talk about "trickle charge"... so does that mean the optimal choice for me is to use 2 amps? I also noticed when i had it on the 2 amp one the battery showed it was pretty much fully charged, but if i switched it to 12 amps it went down to about 1/2 charge.

2 amps for 24 hours should do it. :)
